Follow MyCareCost
Delete your MyCareCost account & data
MyCareCost apps that let you create an account must also let you delete that account and associated data, per Google Play's account deletion policy. The same applies on the Apple App Store. This page is the web resource linked from our store listings (https://mycarecost.net/contact#delete-account). You do not need to reinstall an app to request deletion.
Deletion is permanent. Personal data is purged from production within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days.

Website — delete while signed in
- Sign in at mycarecost.net.
- Open Account → Preferences, scroll to Delete account, type DELETE, and confirm.
- Cancel Stripe-billed Ultra first from Account → Billing.
Website — delete without signing in
- Use the deletion form at the bottom of this section, or email [email protected] with subject Account Deletion Request.
- Include the email address on your MyCareCost account so we can verify ownership.
- Most requests are completed within 7 business days.
Mobile apps — in-app deletion
- Open the MyCareCost or MyCareCost Employee app listed in the table above and sign in.
- Go to Account → Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This calls our deletion API immediately.
- If the app is uninstalled or you cannot sign in, use the web form below — you do not need to download the app again.
Data deleted with your account
- Account credentials (email address and hashed password)
- Profile preferences (home ZIP, default search radius, default state)
- Search history, saved searches, and saved cart items
- Price alerts and Total Care Cost search results stored in your account
- Bill-comparison entries, negotiation cases, and Ultra tool data tied to your account
- Insurance plan profiles and connected health-app tokens (if any)
- Active sessions and in-app notification preferences
- Subscription metadata stored in MyCareCost (your access ends immediately)
Data that may be kept
- Payment and billing records held by Stripe or Apple for transactions already processed (retained per their policies and legal requirements)
- A record of your deletion request and any support correspondence (kept only as long as needed for audit and legal compliance)
- Aggregated or anonymized usage statistics that can no longer be linked to you
- Marketing email opt-out records, so we can continue to honor your choice if you sign up again with the same email
Request deletion by form
Use the same email address as your MyCareCost account so we can verify ownership.
B2B partner, employer, broker, or health-share accounts: email [email protected] from the contact email on file. See Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Notice.
What to expect after you contact us
- Support & billing: reply within 24–48 hours on U.S. business days.
- Partnerships & press: reply within 1–2 business days.
- Privacy requests: verified within 30–45 days per applicable law.
- Account deletion: processed within 7 business days; data purged per retention schedule above.
