MyCareCost, a product of My Darling Decoy Games LLC, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions.
- ARIA labels and roles for interactive components, including search forms, modals, and navigation.
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Keyboard navigation support throughout the application, including focus indicators.
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%.
- Alt text for informational images and decorative image suppression.
- Form labels, error messages, and input descriptions for assistive technology.
- Consistent navigation structure across all pages.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, some areas of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility barriers. Specific known limitations include:
- Some complex data tables (price comparisons) may not be fully navigable by screen readers; we are adding appropriate table headers and ARIA attributes.
- PDF exports may have limited accessibility; we are working on tagged-PDF support.
- Some third-party embedded content (e.g., Stripe payment forms) is managed by external providers and may have its own accessibility limitations.
Compatibility
The Service is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and with popular assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software.
